Overview
Mini 2 channel Relay card for simple control functions from your PC or Arduino. NEW ITEM
Assembled & Tested

Serial relay card 2 dry contact closure outputs (NO), also has 2 logic inputs.
With onboard pull up resistors sensing the state of a switch is simple. All you need to do is provide a path to ground.
R reads both inputs and returns a 0 or 1 depending on the state of the input.

This is a new item and fits housing G304 and G203C. When mounting in the housing you may want to turn the input connectors around to face inside, this will make connecting your leads easier, then loop them around to exit out the bottom, that way it will be water resistant. Requires 12 Volts DC at around 50 or 60 mA with both relays on.

Power in is a 2.1mm barrel type power connector, center positive, also 2 screw terminals are provided, you can use either. Power is polarity protected.

You could apply a 12 volt signal to the switch input, however, you need to limit the current, try a 4K7 resistor to start, the Zeners on board are 500mA. Applying anything other then 5 volts to the switch inputs without current limiting will result in damage.

Made in Canada, with Parts from US and Canadian sources.

Setup options are stored in eerom. Setup options are listed below.

ECHO setting

Local echo, used for trouble shooting and error checking, turning on echo will echo back each character sent to the module, before its processed, turning it off will result in only the ACK character (#) being sent along with the waiting for command prompt ">".

Extended DATA setting Extended or short format for data, the inputs can be labeled IN 1 and IN2, then each state is returned, so IN 1 0 and IN 2 1, with short form data only the data is sent 01 for switch one closed and switch 2 open.

Relay power on State setting

Each relay has a power on state that can be set, the relay can either be on or off at power up. We may add a current setting, which would allow whatever the relay currently is to be what the power on state would be, it would take some feedback from someone wanting this to make it so.

Baud rate selection, either 9600 or 19,200 8,N,1

In order to keep the size small and cost down, we have not included a 9 pin serial connector, we assume that this module will be wired into existing items and the serial connection would only add an extra weight and size requirement that no one would want, more battery power on your drone instead of a bulky connector.

Relay Commands are the same as everyone elses.

N1 turns on relay 1
N0 turns on all relays
F1 turns off relay 1
F0 turns off all relays
T1 toggles relay 1
T0 toggles both relays
P1 will pulse relay 1 for 2 seconds
R reads both inputs and returns their state.
S reads both relays and returns their state.
V sends back version information
! enters setup mode

? an unknown command has been received.

# is returned once the current command has been received and processed, wait until this character returns before sending another command.

The relays are SPST contacts rated at 10 amps 125VAC however, in any case 5 to 6 amps is the practical limit for this configuration.
