Overview
This Dual frequency to analog converter allows you to easily convert up to two frequency signal streams to an analog voltage signal
If you have ever tried to use the LM2917 frequency to analog converter IC you soon find that you are mucking around trying to find the right balance between ripple, and max frequency and you end up getting nowhere. Our Dual frequency to analog converter allows you to easily convert up to two frequency signal streams to an analog voltage signal

The KTA-245 is not designed for unlimited frequencies but for most applications it is suitable. 60KHz is combined maximum frequency of the two frequency inputs. ie. If channel 1 is 60KHz you cannot use channel 2, but if channel 1 is 40KHz the maximum for channel 2 is 20KHz. Realistically, most signals will be in the 10KHz or below range. To set up the two ranges of the analog outputs there are four switch blocks on the PCB. A rotary switch sets the base frequency and a dual DIP switch sets the multiplier For ease of installation, the KTA-245 unit can be supplied with DIN rail mounting clips, this has part number KTD-245.

Features

  • Frequency range set by rotary and DIP switches.
  • Frequency range is from 0 to 60KHz for one frequency input.
