Strain gauge electronic sensor for measuring force uses an insulating flexible backing and metallic foil pattern. The resistance changes when force is added and the object bends with the foil and  will give a different electrical output. The delicate foils are easy to over bend.

There are 4 strain gauges that are hooked up in a wheatstone bridge formation.

The color code on the wiring: red = E+, green = O+, black = E-, and white = O-.

The gauge is epoxied to a piece of aluminum alloy, which prevents damaged and resists the amount of movement.

1. Attach a side to an enclosure or ground with the mounting holes.
2. Apply weight to the other side in the direction indicated on the side, either by gravity or by pulling.
3. Output resistance will change with the amount of deflection and is measured with a precision ADC or Wheatstone bridge.

Use these to measure pressure, force, weight & tension.

These are load cells only. There is no load cell amplifier included.

The sensor must be calibrated with the known weights once installed
