The iSun" is the most complete solar charger for small electronics on the market. It comes with plugging accessories that will enable you to run over 90% of all small electronics.

The traveler can use it to run cell phones, PDA, etc. Or use it to run a GPS, FRS radio, two-way radio, cell phone, hand held video game, digital camera, portable mp3, mini-disc or CD player.

The iSun" can run small electronics requiring less than 2 watts and can help run any small electronics over 2 watts by connecting multiple iSun" units together. Daisy-chaining the unit with another one can double the power outage.

The iSun" unit can be used in all sunny conditions. The brightest conditions will yield better charging output. The iSun" can charge rechargeable batteries within 2 to 8 hours depending on the amount of sun exposure and on the type of rechargeable battery, which is usually between 500mA and 1500mA

BATT PAK
The iSun" family has grown. The first such accessory is code-named "BattPak". The BattPak slides under the iSun" into its docking bay permitting the portable power user complete power independence, day or night, wherever they may be. The BattPak acts as a 6V/12V power source, a AAA/AA NiCad or NiMh battery recharger, and a power charger for portable electronics which feature their own internal rechargeable batteries. The iSun can be used with anything that can be used in a car.

Q1 Can the iSun® drain my battery at night?

No, the iSun® has a built-in diode for reverse current protection.

Q2 Can my iSun® be left outdoors without a protective covering?

Yes, the iSun® is weatherproofed and may be left outdoors. However, the iSun® is not waterproof and should be brought indoors in the event of rain or snow.

Q3 Can I charge more than one battery at a time with the iSun®?

Yes. For example, the charge can be applied to a bank of small AA batteries. When connected to a bank of 2 or more batteries, the total power input will be divided into that number of batteries. The higher the number of batteries, the longer it will take to recharge the battery bank.

For charging AA or AAA batteries however, we recommend the use of the BattPak" accessory for the iSun®. The BattPak's" innovative and versatile design permits you to charge different amounts of batteries (2 to 10 batteries), without increasing the required charging time when adding additional batteries.
