The KT-5220 is a USB Controlled I/O module for interfacing PC's to real world applications such as controlling lights, pumps and sprinkler systems, reading sensors and monitoring switches and other digital signals.

MAY 07 - The KT-5220 is now Addressable, which means up to 255 units can be attached to one PC.
Each controller provides eight relay outputs each capable of switching 5 amps @240VAC and four opto-isolated digital inputs. Other features of the controller are

Software
It is controlled via a computers USB port with the supplied DLL and a Visual Basic program (source code provided). When the visual basic program USB Test panel is installed the OCUSB.dll file is automatically installed to your system directory. The DLL is provided so that anyone can write custom software to operate the KT-5220.
The KT-5200 requires 12VDC to operate. This can be supplied from a plug pack but you will need to remove the plug and connect the wires to the V+ and COM screw terminals

When you plug the KT-5220 into your USB port it will report USB IO module, you will see the device installed as a Human Interface Device in the Device manager, HID compliant device and USB Human Interface Device, 2 entries.
